Yellow, White & Black Modern Baby Shower

I had the lovely opportunity to work with my sister on a yellow, white and black baby shower.  

My sister is extremely talented and made these custom invitations. 

The favors included candles, bath salts and mints! 

 

Daisies and billy balls in white white vases completed the modern look of the event. 

A+R: Adamson House Malibu: Teal & Aqua Wedding

Andrea and Ryan got married on 10-10-10 in Malibu! (We know this post is long overdue!) 

A+R are high school sweethearts and we know that their love will last a lifetime! 

No detail was overlooked while planning their wedding, we had a blast!

The event took place at the gorgeous Adamson House in Malibu which overlooks the ocean. 

The envelope box was a replica of the venue.

For the groom, who loves surfing, they had a custom surfboard serve as the guestbook.  

The bride, being a teacher, wanted to incorporate chalkboards as event signage. The place cards were mini magnet schoolhouse chalkboards. 

 All the stationary was custom made to look like the Spanish tiles at the venue. 

Reception Decor:

  The tables had custom porcelain tiles with the couples photos on them. For favors the couple treated their guest to homemade cookies in a jar. Fun cooties catchers were also on the tables for a quick trivia of the bride and groom.

 We had so much fun coordinating this non-traditional wedding with the bride, who decided on a fun and colorful, fiesta inspired theme. The event took place in the morning at The historic Mission Inn in Riverside.

I love looking at new wedding fashions. The gorgeous dresses that you see below were designed by Venus  Bridal and are available at a quaint little shop in San Bernardino County called The Hitching Post. I love how classic every single dress in her shop is! They will never go out of style!

Does anybody else find this dress absolutely BEAUTIFUL?! It's just so elegant looking. I can't stop staring at it! I found it on Etsy.com. I LOVE TURQUOISE!

I really think anything can be made beautiful with the color turquoise! Not a TON of turquoise of course, but little details with the color along with other neutral tones. I love it for an outfit, for a home and ESPECIALLY for any type of event! Look at some of the looks I LOVE!
